Upon my arrival in Santa Fe in 1985, for what I thought was going to be a quick stop on my way to parts further west, I had in hand a list of Must See's + Do's provided by a friend in the know. The only gallery on that list was the Robert Nichols Gallery on Canyon Road. Established in 1976, specializing in Ceramic Art, and renowned for the knowledge and eye of its namesake owner, it remained one of my favorite spots in the City Different all these years. So of course I was thrilled when my own ceramic sculptures started being shown there in 2019. We had an excellent run but sadly Robert's husband Jonathan Parks made the difficult decision to close the gallery doors last month.
